Please join us as we share the stories of the amazing dogs at Caring for Canines.
We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs and ensuring that they are placed in loving, caring homes. Dogs are rescued both from the euthanasia list at animal shelters and from people who are no longer able to care for their animals. Caring for Canines takes in dogs of all breeds and ages. We provide them with medical care, spay and neuter services, vaccinations, referrals and behavioral training. After careful screening, we attempt to adopt the dogs to the best home possible.
Caring for Canines became an official non-profit organization in 2003 although the efforts of the animal rescue organization were started back in 1992. Since then, it has continued to grow as more and more dogs are saved and found homes each week. Family, friends and other community members have since joined in the cause.
As pet overpopulation is a major problem in Maricopa County and thousands of animals are put to sleep each year, we feel fortunate to have the opportunity to help in this area and are greatly appreciative of any and all community assistance.
